Summary

The next World Asthma Day will be held on May 5, 2009.
WAD is being organized by the Global Initiative for Asthma (GINA), a collaborative project of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (US).

The theme of World Asthma Day 2008 was "You Can Control Your Asthma".

This positive theme builds on the focus on asthma control during WAD 2006, as well as the emphasis on asthma control set out in the recently released 2006 versions of the GINA guideline documents.

At the GINA website you can find a lot of materials to prepare a great  WAD and you can sign up for the WAD eNewsletter, etc.
